Great Muta vs. Mike Justice, Trent Knight, and Cougar Jay
on May 27th, 1989

This is an Oriental Torture Match, meaning that Muta must pin all three men in under ten minutes. Muta and Justice start things off. They tie-up to start, armbar by Muta but Justice reverses it into a wristlock. Arm wringer by Justice but Muta kicks him in the stomach. Another kick by Muta and he applies a full nelson, but Justice muscles out of it and applies one of his own. Muta backs Justice into the corner and hits a mule kick as Justice lets go. Muta hits Justice with a back kick, and Justice falls out of the ring. Knight comes in the ring from behind but Muta kicks him to the mat. Muta then sails out of the ring onto Justice with a pescado, cover, and he gets a three count. Muta then gets on the top turnbuckle and and comes back into the ring with a diving crossbody onto Knight, cover, and he gets another three count. So now it is down to just Muta and Jay. Side headlock by Muta, Jay Irish whips out of it but Muta shoulderblocks him down. Muta goes off the ropes, avoids the monkey flip and Muta knocks down Jay with a dropkick. Nerve hold by Muta and he applies a wristlock onto Jay. Irish whip by Muta to the corner and he hits the Space Rolling Elbow. Rib breaker by Muta, he goes up to the top turnbuckle and nails the moonsault. Cover, and he gets his final three count. Your winner: Great Muta

Match Thoughts: If you are keeping track at home, he finished the match in well under 10 minutes. I guess when one jobber isn't enough, might as well give Muta three. The whole "Oriental Torture Match" gimmick was obviously very silly and wasn't really mentioned much by the commentators once the match started. Of course by late May Muta was starting to have more difficult opponents, so beating three enhancement wrestlers wasn't going to make him break a sweat. It had its fun moments like Muta getting two pins in under 15 seconds of each other, but the gimmick didn't really help the match and could have been left out. Score: 5.0
